Notice to Our Congregation

We know our community is concerned about protecting ourselves and others from COVID 19. We have heard your concerns and are sensitive to your feelings and needs and in response, based on current CDC recommendations, the Board of Directors approved the following temporary changes:

All prayer services including Shabbat
1) Attendance will be limited to 10 adult Jews.
2) Attendance priority will be given to those reciting Kaddish or observing Yahrzeit.
3) Services will be in the sanctuary to allow for comfortable social distancing.
4) We are asking those willing to commit to attending email or call the office to sign      up at least two days before the service you are committing to attend.
         a. If fewer than 7 people sign up, the service will be canceled, and registrants               will be notified.
         b. If 7, 8 or 9 people sign up we will attempt to enlist additional people to                       create a minyan. If we are not successful, the service will be canceled, and               the registrants will be notified.

We are working to create an option for live streaming our Shabbat services. More details will be shared as soon as they are available.

During this period
1) Our kitchens will be closed.
2) Our office will remain open for staff only. We will be glad to assist you by phone        or email. If you call and connect with our voice mail, please leave a message            including your phone number or the best way to reach you.
3) Shabbat Torah study and all other classes and events will be either postponed or      offered online based on the desire of the instructor and student needs. More             information to follow.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us for any reason.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Sincerely,

Edward Dubowitz, President
Congregation B’nai Zion
